Psychosexual Therapist (Practitioner in training)
Sex is the place where we store much of our hopes, our fears and our vulnerabilities. When our connection with ourselves and others sexually is going well it can feel transformative, but when it isn’t it can be extremely distressing. I offer an integrative approach to psychosexual therapy to work best with your circumstance.
After an initial assessment to decide if Sex Therapy is the best way forward, further sessions will explore underlying causes and collaborate on a treatment plan. Whilst you will be set tasks to complete between sessions you will never be asked to undertake a sexual task in session, or anything beyond your comfort zone outside of it and all that is discussed is confidential. If there are medical issues identified I will refer you back to your GP or medical practitioner.
I have an open and non-judgemental approach to all issues of sex and sexuality and am happy to work with individuals or those in relationships, including polyamorous relationships. Most non-medical sexual issues are significantly improved by Sex Therapy, resulting in happier, healthier relationships and sense of self.
I adhere to the ethical standards framework laid out by COSRT, work under strict supervisory guidelines
and am fully insured for clinical work.
